On 9/2/26, HFSRB's rules regarding the Cardiac Catheterization category of service were updated. The changes include revising utilization standards, updating peer review requirements, amending physician referrals, changing the unnecessary duplication of service criterion, and establishing new accreditation standards. In addition, the rules associated with the Organ Transplant and Kidney Transplant categories of service, the Subacute Care Hospital Model, and the Children's Respite Care Center Alternative Health Care Mode  were repealed. These changes were published in the September 18th edition of the Illinois Register. NOTICE OF REVIEW AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND WRITTEN COMMENT

In accordance with the requirements of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act, notice is given of receipt to add a service to an existing Ambulatory Surgery Treatment Center (ASTC), in Merrionette Park. Project #24-022, Premiere Cardiac Surgery Center, Merrionette Park. Applicants: Premier Cardiac Surgery Center, PLLC, and Heart Care Centers of Illinois, S.C. The applicants propose to add cardiac catheterization to its limited-specialty ASTC, located at 11560 South Kedzie Avenue, Suite 110, Merrionette Park. Project cost: $4,785,800.

The application contained a Safety Net Impact Statement and was declared complete on July 9, 2024. A copy of the application may be viewed at the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board Office, at the address below. Consideration by the State Board has been tentatively scheduled for the December 10, 2024, State Board Meeting. Requests for hearings must be received by this Agency no later than July 24, 2024. Any person wanting to submit written comments on this project must submit these comments by November 20, 2024.

The State Board will post its findings in a State Board Staff Report, and the report will be made available via the internet on November 26, 2024. The public may submit written responses in support of or in opposition to the findings of the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.
