NOTICE OF REVIEW AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND WRITTEN COMMENT

In accordance with the requirements of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act, notice is given of receipt to add a surgical specialty to an existing Ambulatory Surgery Treatment Center (ASTC), in Sycamore. Project #24-039, The Midland Surgical Center d/b/a Northwestern Medicine Surgery Center-Sycamore, Sycamore. Applicants: The Midland Surgical Center LLC, Kishwaukee Community Hospital d/b/a Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare. The applicants propose to add Gastroenterology surgical services to their existing multi-specialty ASTC, located at 2120 Midlands Court, Sycamore. Project cost: $713,000.

The application was declared complete on December 2, 2024. A copy of the application may be viewed at the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board Office at the address below. Consideration by the State Board has been tentatively scheduled for the March 18, 2025, State Board Meeting. Requests for hearings must be received by this Agency no later than December 17, 2024. Any person wanting to submit written comments on this project must submit these comments by February 26, 2025.

The State Board will post its findings in a State Board Staff Report, and the report will be made available via the Internet on March 4, 2025. The public may submit written responses in support of or in opposition to the findings of the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board. The public will have until 9:00 am, March 10, 2025.
