On 9/2/26, HFSRB's rules regarding the Cardiac Catheterization category of service were updated. The changes include revising utilization standards, updating peer review requirements, amending physician referrals, changing the unnecessary duplication of service criterion, and establishing new accreditation standards. In addition, the rules associated with the Organ Transplant and Kidney Transplant categories of service, the Subacute Care Hospital Model, and the Children's Respite Care Center Alternative Health Care Mode  were repealed. These changes were published in the September 18th edition of the Illinois Register. NOTICE OF REVIEW AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND WRITTEN COMMENT

Under the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act, we received a request to discontinue an End-Stage Renal Dialysis (ESRD) facility in Pekin. Project #26-045, DaVita Tazewell County Dialysis, Pekin. Applicants: DaVita, Inc., and Pekin Dialysis, LLC. The applicants propose discontinuing their 8-station ESRD facility at 1021 Court Street, Suite A, Pekin. This project has no associated cost.

The application contained a Safety Net Impact Statement and was declared complete on October 7, 2026. You may view a copy of the application at the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board Office at the address below. To obtain a copy of an application, please call the office for details and copying fees at the number listed below. The State Board has tentatively scheduled consideration for the March 16, 2027, State Board Meeting. Any person wanting a public hearing on the proposed project must submit a written request for a hearing to:

Requests for hearings must be received by this Agency no later than October 22, 2026. Anyone wanting to submit written comments on this project must submit them by February 24, 2027.  The State Board will post its findings in a State Board Staff Report, which will be available online on March 2, 2027. The public may submit written responses in support of or in opposition to the findings of the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.
