NOTICE OF REVIEW AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND WRITTEN COMMENT

In accordance with the requirements of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act, notice is given of receipt an application for permit to modernize an existing Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in Wheaton.  Project #25-039, DuPage Care Center, Wheaton.  Applicants: DuPage Care Center and County of DuPage.  The Applicants propose to modernize both clinical and non-clinical components of the 366-bed LTC facility, located at 400 North County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois.  Project #25-039. Applicants:  DuPage Care Center, County of DuPage. The project cost is $47,591,000.

The application was deemed substantially complete on October 20, 2025. A copy of the application may be viewed at the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) Office at the address below. Consideration by HFSRB has been tentatively scheduled for the January 13, 2026, meeting. Any person wanting a public hearing on the proposed project must submit a written request for a hearing to:

HFSRB staff must receive requests for a hearing by November 4, 2025. The public may also submit written comments on this project. All public written comments must be received by December 24, 2025. HFSRB will post its findings in an HFSRB Staff Report, which will be available online on December 31, 2025. The public may submit written responses in support of or in opposition to the findings of the HFSRB staff.
