NOTICE OF REVIEW AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND WRITTEN COMMENT

Per the requirements of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act [20 ILCS 3960/], notice is given of receipt to modernize/expand existing cancer care services at a Medical Office Building (MOB), in McHenry.  Project #25-047, Northwestern Medicine McHenry Cancer Center, McHenry.  Applicants:  Northwestern Memorial HealthCare and Northern Illinois Medical Center d/b/a Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital.  The Applicants propose to modernize and expand its services provided at the Cancer Care Center, located at 4305 Medical Center Drive, McHenry.  Project cost: $20,395,262.

The application was deemed substantially complete on December 3, 2025. A copy of the application may be viewed at the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) Office at the address below. HFSRB staff must receive requests for hearings by December 18, 2025. The public may also submit written comments on this project. All public written comments must be received by February 6, 2026.  HFSRB will post its findings in an HFSRB Staff Report, which will be available via the Internet on February 11, 2026. The public may submit written responses in support of or in opposition to the findings of the HFSRB staff.
