NOTICE OF REVIEW AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND WRITTEN COMMENT

Per the requirements of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act [20 ILCS 3960/], notice is given of receipt to establish a medical office building on the campus of the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago (UIMC). Project #25-042, University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago Ambulatory Care Building, Chicago. Applicant: The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. The Applicant proposes to establish a Medical Office Building totaling 202,403 GSF of newly constructed space, located at 1740 West Taylor Street, Chicago. Project cost: $208,455,373.

The application was deemed substantially complete on October 27, 2025. A copy of the application may be viewed at the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) Office at the address below. Consideration by HFSRB has been tentatively scheduled for the January 13, 2026, meeting. Any person wanting a public hearing on the proposed project must submit a written request for a hearing to:

HFSRB staff must receive requests for hearings by November 12, 2025. The public may also submit written comments on this project. All public written comments must be received by December 26, 2025. HFSRB will post its findings in an HFSRB Staff Report, which will be available via the Internet on December 31, 2025. The public may submit written responses in support of or in opposition to the findings of the HFSRB staff.
