NOTICE OF REVIEW AND OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND WRITTEN COMMENT

In accordance with the requirements of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act, notice is given of receipt of an application to undertake a major modernization project at a critical access hospital in Rochelle.  Project #26-025, Rochelle Community Hospital, Rochelle.  Applicant: Rochelle Community Hospital Association.  The applicant proposes to modernize clinical and non-clinical services at its hospital located at 900 North Second Street, Rochelle.  Project cost: $48,579,513.

The application was declared complete on May 14, 2026.  A copy of the application may be viewed at the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board Office, at the address below.  To obtain a copy of an application, please call the office at the number listed below for details and copying fees.  Consideration by the State Board has been tentatively scheduled for the July 21, 2026, State Board Meeting.  Any person wanting a public hearing on the proposed project must submit a written request for a hearing to:

Requests for hearings must be received by this Agency no later than May 29, 2026.  Any person wanting to submit written comments on this project must submit these comments by July 1, 2026.  The State Board will post its findings in a State Board Staff Report, which will be made available online on July 7, 2026.  The public may submit written responses in support of or in opposition to the findings of the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.  The public will have until 9:00 am, July 13, 2026.  The internet address used to access this report is:
